Peter Hans Misch (1909-1987) was a University of Washington geologist and professor who was especially well known for his research and mapping of the North Cascade mountains of Washington State. Born in Berlin, Germany, he earned his Ph.D. in Geology from G̈öttingen University in 1932. Misch became the geologist for the 1934 German expedition to Nanga Parbat in the western Himalayas.
